Power of Angel Investing

The Power of Angel Investing At the recent AAAI Conference I sat on a panel during a workshop for Angel Investors. This was part of the PAI course developed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, in 1999. The PAI course gives an overview of Angel Investing, designed for those contemplating making an investment. It looks at the following: - selecting the deal - due diligence - structuring the deal - valuation - post investment relationship The course works through real practical examples of each stage of an investment. Legal, finance and accounting experts, together with an number of experienced angels and serial entrepreneurs sit on panels to input at each stage. Great additional resources are referenced in the detailed handbook. This is a great introduction course to Angel Investing. More information about the Angel Capital Education Foundation, which was founded by the Kauffman Foundation, to further education and research about Angel investing for investors, entrepreneurial support organisations, university faculty and students, and policy makers, can be found at www.angelcapitaleducation.org A must attend course for those interested in Angel Investing and wondering how to make the first step. Mentoring

"We have benefited greatly from David's experience, counsel and contacts on a wide range of issues. His past experience in the IP space is particularly useful to Inngot, but even without that, he is just the sort of investor and non-executive director a high growth business needs. He sees potential, makes connections, and keeps us focused on the things that matter."Martin Brassell, CEO, Inngot Ltd
